Top 3 Reasons Why You Should Join the World’s 1st Space Tech Summit
And What Your Participation Will Do For Humanity
To accelerate the commercialization of space, Draper University has partnered with the Global Startup Ecosystem and LightSpeed Innovations to host the first annual Space Tech Summit on January 23-24, 2018. The Space Tech Summit brings together hundreds of entrepreneurs, pioneers, and creatives under one roof to address humanity’s grandest challenges via space technology. The summit also serves to bring key stakeholders that will accelerate both the exploration and the expansion of space into mainstream audiences.
Why does this matter?
Today there are over 68+ annual conferences for space experts and potential enthusiasts. Yet as space becomes a more relevant part of our future reality- the ecosystem continues to gather only space experts, astronauts and researchers. What happened to the creatives, entrepreneurs, authors, actors, athletes and other ecosystem builders of society? Well, whether you are a leader within the space ecosystem or someone who has never been apart of the conversation- this event will bring together a new gathering of influencers to change the narrative around humanity’s race for space.
How will this happen?
The 2018 Space Tech Summit will achieve this by covering two themes. Part one is centered on “Ecosystem Influencers of Space Tech” which spotlights the unexpected leaders in space- from mainstream media reporters to celebrities. Insights from these leaders drives a new generation of change makers leveraging space tech for humanity. Part two is centered on “The Future Exploration and Commercialization of Space” with an analysis of the technologies being used to kick off startups, SME’s and enterprises; along with a deep dive look into the contributions of VC fund managers, angel investors, research think tanks, governments and corporate innovators to drive the space industry to new heights. The event will host speakers from Google, X-Prize, IBM, NASA, SpaceX, Boeing, Amazon and more. Over 20+ media representatives from Space News, Forbes, Bloomberg, Wired Magazine, Tech Crunch and more will also be in attendance.
Here are 3 key reasons to attend this event.
- Influencers: From press reporters at Forbes, Wired, and Space News to Influencers at SpaceX, Facebook, Google and NASA- this is going to be a unique gathering of people. Astronauts and scientists are not the only groups driving humanity’s connection to the outer universe. Find out how you can join the movement.
- Impact: This inaugural event serves to provide key insights and examples on how space tech can be leveraged to solve humanity’s grandest challenges. From energy issues to human longevity and disease- this event will redefine what approaches we take towards societies biggest problems.
- Innovation: Innovation can come from anywhere- even from failures. On average, there are over 1600 inventions released by NASA each year and majority of these inventions do not serve their original purpose. From invisible braces, to satellites to smoke detectors- find out what inventions affect your life today and how you can contribute.
So the question remains- where will you be on January 23-24, 2018?
